About Me
Scott Bickel joined Whitaker IT in October 2023 to focus on recruiting mid to senior level IT professionals. Although new to the Whitaker team, he brings to the table over 15 years of mentoring and leadership experience, as well as 9 years of recruiting military members. He has shown a dedication to becoming a strong career advisor for his candidates.
Scott joins Whitaker after retiring from 23 years in the Air Force, where he spent 14 years in Radio and Satellite Maintenance, followed by 9 years in Recruiting. During this time, he earned numerous awards and decorations for his high performance and work ethic. He was directly involved in the recruiting of nearly 400 people into the Air Force, and has additional experience in training and instructing, while leading teams of between 4 and 18 members.
Given his dedication, determination, and commitment, it’s not surprising that Scott is actively working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA at the University of Maryland Global Campus. He currently lives in San Antonio with his wife, two sons, and daughter.
